Prise off the seal.. if the bearings are held in a steel retainer instead of a teflon coated plastic one, then you've got chinese bearings.

The Teflon coated plastic race means the bearings are held in a lighter and rust free cage,

Plus they are lighter, have less friction, and less things to rust if the water does get in.

If you think that you're getting a great deal on a ceramic bottom bracket at under £100, or a set of ceramic jockey wheels for under £40.... then be prepared for disappointment.
