We know
that in the last few months the 2010
bikes have hit the shelves. And that
has brought changes in the number of
gears and types of bottom brackets and
wheels too!
Well we're ready for the
changes... with new Ultra Torque
anodised Red or Black cups - with our
super bearings,
then there is the
Zipp kit for 2010 wheels. In late 2009
Zipp changed the size of their bearings
to 6803's.
This covers 202's,303's
404's 606's, 808's and 909 or 999's.
And to remind all you speed freaks....
these are not chinese bearings!
They
cost more because they cost more to
make.... in Sweden ... by SKF... and
then put together by CeramicSpeed in
Denmark!
Wanna check what you bought?
Prise off the seal.. if the bearings
are held in a steel retainer instead of
a teflon coated plastic one, then you've
got chinese bearings.
The Teflon
coated plastic
race means the bearings are held in a
lighter and rust free cage,
Plus
they are lighter, have less friction,
and less things to rust if the water
does get in.
If
you think that you're getting a great
deal on a ceramic bottom bracket at
under £100, or a set of ceramic jockey
wheels for under £40.... then be
prepared for disappointment.
Sorry
to say this but you get what you pay for
in this world.
At Active Life we
sell the best products we can find, not
the cheapest.
CeramicSpeed bearings won the Tour De
France last year. Dugast Tubulars and
CeramicSpeed bearings won numerous
Olympic titles in Beijing.
I don't
believe Enduro or Hope or F1 or Boca or
Wheels Manufacturing did... but you can
always ask?
We'll be updating our website soon and
with it our guide to ceramic bearings.
How to go faster, and why you go faster
with CeramicSpeed.
Until then, enjoy
the good weather !!
